We are having so much fun with all of our club gatherings here at the shop and we especially love ones that get us unplugged and away from a screen. So make plans now to join us for some conversation, skill-sharing and time to recharge while making progress on a project. Some examples of projects you might want to bring are: Quilt Binding, English Paper Piecing, Embroidery, Applique, Knitting, Crochet, and so much more! We have many more ideas for this group and it will evolve over time but we'd love to have you bring your hand sewing and join us!

This is our continual kid’s sewing program using curriculum from “Sewciety Kids,” a four level, comprehensive program designed for skill-building through fun sewing projects. Students will learn how to sew decorative items, functional items, and even their own clothes! Each student needs to have taken our introductory class first and will need to purchase a Stitch School Basic Sewing Kit for their required tools. They start at the beginning of the program and as they re-register for sessions, they can pick up where they left off, finishing 2-3 projects each semester.

This is a very detailed workshop on all that the Stripology Rulers can do for you. You will learn on all four rulers and how to transform your quilting journey making it fast, accurate and most of all FUN! Take the frustration out of some common quilting mistakes. You will learn how to cut strips, squares, diamonds and triangles. You will learn easier techniques for half square and quarter square triangles and combination units, how to use some of the GEasy accessories and how to square up all your blocks. You must have at least one ruler and the book. The last hour of the class we will take some of what we learned and make a table topper!! A complete supply list will be sent out prior to class.

Join our bag-making class and create a stylish, functional tote using the ByAnnie Two Big Totes Pattern. This class is perfect for confident beginners and experienced sewists who want to learn professional bag construction techniques, including quilting, zipper installation, pockets, and sturdy strap assembly. You’ll leave with a beautiful oversized tote that’s perfect for travel, retreats, shopping, or everyday use. Step-by-step instruction and guidance will help you build confidence while creating a polished handmade project.

During this two-hour class, students will learn all about their sewing machine. They will understand how to set up their machine and then use it to sew. During the class, they will use their skills to make a drawstring bag from a fabric they choose, which is included in the class fee. This is the first step for the classes in our continual kid’s sewing program “Stitch School”. Students who want to sign up for that must take this introductory class first. Parents, please plan to join us for the last 10 minutes of this class for our “Stitch School” orientation, a sewing program using curriculum from “Sewciety Kids,” a four level, comprehensive program curriculum. We will cover how “Stitch School” works, what our Basic Sewing Kit contains, and all about what kids will learn to make! Sewing machine needed for this class - if you do not have one, please let us know and one can be rented for $5. All other supplies and tools are included for this class in the class fee.

Back by popular demand! This class is very comprehensive. You will not only learn how to quilt your own quilts with your walking foot but you will also get a lot of information on thread, batting, "secret markings" on your walking foot and putting your quilt together. Included in the class fee will be 10 mini quilt "sandwiches" which we will use in class to learn 10 different patterns. If you've been wanting to try machine quilting your own quilts but are just too intimidated or you've quilted a couple but you're already bored of the designs you can come up with, this might be the class for you! In addition to basic sewing supplies you will also need to have the book "Walk: Master Machine Quilting With Your Walking Foot" by Jacquie Gering (available for sale at Warman Cozy), and a sewing machine in good working order with a walking foot. A complete supply list will be sent out a couple weeks prior to the first class.

Start your journey into the craft of sewing with this introductory class. Get a general overview of sewing with hands-on demonstrations of basic tools, techniques & patterns. Have fun, learn to sew, and in the process, create a fun pillowcase in just a few hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early to get your sewing machine set up. If you would like to select your fabric right before class please come at least a half hour ahead so we can assist you. Full supply list will be sent out prior to class.

Back by Request! Ever wonder what happens when you combine your love of quilting with a little home decorating?? This fabulous crazy quilted chair! In this class you will learn how to crazy "quilt as you go" on the seat and back of an old padded folding chair! But then we take it a step further. Remember when you bought your machine with all those wonderful decorative stitches and you have never used them? This is your opportunity! Let your imagination and inner-artist go wild. We will quilt the pieces with decorative stitches and colorful threads. There is a little bit of before-class prep work involved so please pay close attention to the supply list (will be sent out in the next day or two)! Come and let's have an afternoon of creativity, conversation and fun!!! This class is open to everyone and will be fairly beginner-friendly but you must have a sewing machine that has at least a couple specialty/decorative stitches (while we love our Featherweight machines, that would not be the right machine for this class). (Chairs are available for $15 paid directly to teacher at the class if you do not have one that will work. Just let us know in the notes when you register online or contact the shop so we set one aside for you!)

Do you ever look at those beautiful, quilted jackets and drool? Do you have a favorite quilt at home and wish you could make a jacket just like it? Then this class is for you! Take one of your favorite quilts and turn it into a stylish jacket. In this class, you will learn measuring and sizing, some basic dressmaking skills like button holes and finishing seams, and how to cut out a pattern. It will be broken up into two sessions: The first class is informational and determining the size, and how to cut out your pieces. You will bring the pieces to the second class and away we go! Full supply list will be sent out prior to the first class. Laura Jacket Pattern is included in class fee and will be available at the first class. This particular class is only for making a jacket from a premade quilt or a quilted piece of fabric/cheater print. We do have another Laura Jacket class currently offered on our Classes page for those who want to piece a quilt to make their jacket from.

This adorable dog, Emerson, is great for collage beginners. This is the one Laura Heine recommends to start your collage journey or to continue it. We've broken this project into two classes to give you plenty of time to feel confident in your project! In class one we will talk about fabrics and the process and begin the quilt. In class two we will continue with the collage process and learn how to complete and add finishing details as well as how to quilt it. These are super cute to hang in your home as a tribute to your own cat or dog. Important: in the notes when registering please indicate if you will be doing a cat or a dog so we can be sure to have your pattern ready for you. Full supply list will be sent out a couple weeks before the first class.

Have you ever done applique? This class is an introduction to raw edge applique, where you will make a bed runner or a table runner! You will learn all the basics of this method: how to trace on to steam a seam light, how to transfer to fabric and how to finally transfer to your background. It will also be explained how to finish the project and quilt it the same time that you applique it. Must have a machine with an applique stitch or zig zag. Pattern is included in the price.

Have you ever wanted to make a quilted jacket? Then this class is for you! This class combines the quilting world with the apparel world. In this class we will make a jacket from start to finish. We will learn basic dressmaking skills and combine them with quilting. You will learn how to determine your size, pick your quilt design, adjust the pattern if necessary. Your piecing and quilting skills will be the first step. Putting it all together, learning to layout the pattern and cut, assemble , bind and make buttonholes. This class is open to experienced as well as beginning quilters. Full supply list will be sent out prior to the first class. Laura Jacket Pattern (included in class fee) will be available for you to pick up at the first class. The pattern is available for sizes XS - XL OR XL - 6X (keep in mind that the pattern sizing runs small and you may want to size up one or two sizes from what you normally wear) and we will help you determine what size jacket you want to make at the first class. This particular class is for those who want to piece a quilt to make their jacket from. We have a separate class currently listed for those who want to make it from a quilt they already have pieced and quilted.

Afraid of curves? Well this class is for you! Learn how to cut and sew simple curves in this Blue Onion Quilt. This class will teach you about the tricky aspects of sewing curves and dealing with bias. We will be learning to cut the pieces using the Always Oval Ruler. Pattern is included in the price of the class.

This class is a continuation of WALK 1 but with more challenging designs. This class will feature reverse stitching, circular patterns, sectioned curves and many more. You will be sewing 10 new designs to use in your everyday quilting and you won't believe what can be done with a walking foot. The class WALK 1 (taken at Quilter's Destination or Warman Cozy) is a prerequisite to take this class. Class fee includes required kit of fabric and batting quilt "sandwiches". Full supply list will be sent out prior to class.

Remember the rugs of yesteryear that Grandma had? Well let's bring those rugs up to date with a contemporary flair. If you have a sewing machine with straight stitch and zig zag plus a walking foot you're all set. All you need is a jelly roll and batting and away we go!! First class we will get started and then there will be a bit of homework before the second class where construction begins. This is a fun beginner-type class! Come join us! Class fee includes the Jelly Roll Rug Pattern. A fully supply list will be sent out a couple weeks before the class.
